Nexan is a Loring, a construct race, requiring not only minerals but environmental mana to live. For this reason, I've attempted to map these "dead zones" without mana.
The oceans are almost entirely barren of mana (aside from ley lines that flow from land out to sea along or below the ocean floor). The first map is a simple colouring of the ocean regions in August's original map:

Hopefully there won't be any nasty surprises in the unmapped north frontier...
